More than 5.600 people took part in this special celebration of the Champion Volley Land event in the first day. The party started with the students of Forli, more than 500 wandering around the stands of the Volley Gallery. Then many match ups were organised on the 12 improvised court. Then the Under 14 and Under 1- came into play, 80 teams in total.
The enthusiasm for the Champion Volley School with the champions of the Serie A was just amazing. The players showed their skill and taught them to a total of 250 dreamy kids.
3.979 is the number of spectators for the first semi final between Macerata and Piacenza, then 4.180 were there to witness Cuneo’s win over Treviso.
Numbers are not enough to sum up the magic of the Champion Volley Land, though. There was also the P-Funking Band giving some rhythm in the crowd or in the Fun area. You can’t find in the stats the smiles of the people meeting the giants of the league like Gustavo, Ricardo and Cisolla, walking round the stands like any other spectator.
The stats don’t tell is about the thousand of stories left on the wall with messages and VideoBox. It doesn’t tell us about the enthusiasm of Bertoli, Recine, Lanfranco, Martino, Dametto and the others in the training and little game under Carmelo Pittera’s watchful eyes. Matteo Bertoli was there too to smash a few balls down with them. A student in this game of legends, he became a real ‘Maestro’ in the Champion Volley School.
