Four teams for a final
Four teams will be fighting for two place in the A1 Cup final. The Final Four starts on Saturday at 4.15 with Macerata versus Piacenza. Macerata continues to defend the title they conquered in March last year in this unprecedented matchup in the Italian Cup. In the other semi final, Cuneo faces Treviso.

Wout Wijsmans (Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo): “Treviso is back to its old self and is playing well, it showed it by beating Trento in the quarter finals. We know they get to these event well-prepared and they give very little away. They have players used to this kind of competitions, that’s why it will be very tough. They have a very consistent and accurate game in every area. Their passing is very quick and they have a good attack. Our job will be to make it difficult for them with a good dig and with high balls in attack”.
Alessandro Fei (Sisley Treviso): “The win against trento came after 3 weeks of good work in the gym and a couple of good results. Our recovery came bit by bit and that’s why winning Wednesday’s game against Trento gave us great joy. The spirit is high, we’re in the last four but we know that one win is not enough in this competition to take the trophy. The semi final against Cuneo? I think anything can happen, no prediction possible on one single game, even though Cuneo has got to be a favourite for the cup given the what they’ve done recently. We believe in our chances and we’ll go for it. The approach to the game will be important, we need to be focused and play with maximum intensity”.
