TIM CUP A1 FINAL EIGHT

The A1 CUP Final Eight is around the corner and the excitement is growing up. Tomorrow, On Wednesday 21, the Volleyball league, in collaboration with Mantova, will carry out a press conference to present the two quarter finals that will take place in Mantova on the 29th of January. It will be the same venue to host the A2 Cup semi final on the 27th of January.

The press conference will take place in Mantova’s Palabam gym at 12.

Another press conference will take place on January the 22nd in Bassano, where the other two quarter finals of the A1 Cup will be played: these are Lube Banca Marche Macerata – Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia (6pm) and Itas Diatec Trentino – Sisley Treviso (8.30), both scheduled on the 28th.

TIM CUP A2

DOMANI SERA IL RITORNO DEI QUARTI DI FINALE

The return legs of the A2 Cup quarter finals will take place on Wednesday night. Anything can still happen thanks to the formula of the golden set: in case of one victory each, on whatever score that might be, the golden set will be played to decide who goes through.

Santa Croce entertains Bologna, who will need a breakthrough in the house of the league leaders. Latina just had a convincing win in Catania and will try to confirm it is in good form when it faces Isernia, defeated 3-1 in the first leg.

Bassano, the number one seed, has the most difficult task. It lost the first leg in Roma and had only beaten Cavriago at the tie-break last weekend. On the other side of the net, it will find a galvanized team  following their home win over Santa Croce.

Still, the toughest prediction to make remains for the game opposing Gioia del Colle and Loreto. In the first leg, Gioia won it with a sweep but the script is not written yet as Loreto seems to be able to win and force the Golden set at home.

The winners will go through to the Final Four, which will both take place in Mantova’s Palabam gym on the 27th of January, while the final will make its debut as part of Volley Land, in Forli’s Palafiera, on Sunday the 1st of February before the A1 Cup final.
