17th round starts with the classic
The fourth round of the return games opens up with the classic between Treviso and Modena, which will be live on Sky Sport on Saturday.
Both teams stands in the table with 21 points and this will be the 95th encounter in history between these two teams.
Five other games will take place on Sunday: league leaders Trentino will host Vibo Valentia, while Macerata travels to Perugia, who registered two consecutive wins. Montichiari plays host to Padova, hoping to regain its lost form against the team standing bottom of the table. Cuneo and Pineto will hope to get a good result to move up the table in direct encounters respectively against Piacenza and Forli. Finally, there will be Verona versus Martina Franca on Monday night.

A caccia di record: Alberto Cisolla only needs one ace to reach the 200 in regular season. As for Modena, Cristian Casoli is 9 point away from 3000 in the league and Andrea Sartoretti keeps seeking the ace that would have him reach the 800 in the league.
Alessandro Fei (Sisley Treviso): “From now on, every game will be a question of life or death and that has to define the spirit with which we’ll get on court on Saturday against Modena, a team that is going through a tough season just like us. We have to start winning in our Palaverde gym and put our heads up after two consecutive losses. We need to keep the good work we had done in December. Nothing’s easy right now but we have to show what we are made of and put all we’ve got in the game to get out of this hole”.
Cristian Casoli (Trenkwalder Modena): “In the past, the games between Modena and Treviso were classics, often meaning finals and tomorrow it won’t be any different. We have the same amount of point and the points at stake will be crucial for both of us. It will be kind of a special game for me in this gym, but I want to be there and I don’t want to lose it, I’ll give it all”.

CODYECO SANTA CROCE IN VETTA DA SOLA?
Santa Croce will have a great opportunity to go top of the A2 table as Bassano will not be playing this weekend. To do so, they will have to beat Catania, currently third from bottom but who is showing great fighting spirit.
Following their defeat in Isernia, Latina will try to bounce back against Castelfidardo who, just like Catania, is desperate for points to stay up, and anywhere and against whoever will do.
Tight encounters are expected: Crema versus Gioia del Colle, and Mantova versus Castellana Grotte. Bologna went back to winning ways in the last round and will try to confirm in Loreto.
Città di Castello desperately needs a win, as it has not grabbed any victory in the last seven rounds. It will face Isernia, who will look to move up the table again. Finally, clash at the bottom of the table with Roma versus Cavriago, none of the teams can afford another loss.
