In his second experience as head coach in the A1 after Pineto, Paolo Montagnani is extremely up for it.

“Piacenza, Macerata, Cuneo and Trento are all teams we’ll be meeting at the beginning of the new season, which could be a good thing given that they won’t be at their best yet. We’ll start working straight away to find our identity as a team. If we manage to take a good number of points, great, otherwise we’ll just have to wait for weaker opponents. We’ve put together a good team, with solid and extremely motivated players. Two of them are players playing in the World League finals (Rivaldo with Brazil and Suxho with the USA), we have some experienced players, others looking to rekindle their career and we bet on a couple more. People are saying good things about our team but we’ll have to show our worth on court. Let’s focus on staying up first, then we’ll see”.
