Gioia’s beginning of championship had started with four consecutive defeats but from then on, the team never ceased to improve. In the last 13 games, only Santa Croce managed to take all three points against Gioia.
Lately, Cannestracci’s boys faced a real tour de force with long trips, injuries and more “I’m very happy, it’s another hard-fought victory which we obtained playing with heart. Before the game I met the boys to encourage them, I’m aware of the efforts they’re putting in. They are under obvious stress, especially with those gruelling road games. Despite everything, they left it out on the floor once more and showed great will to win. That’s what I like about my team”.
