In Viterbo, Santa Croce were up against the best teams of all Italy and it did pretty well. It grabbed a very positive fifth place behind the champs Castellana Grotte, salerno, Treviso and Macerata.
On Sunday, in the games for fifth to 8th place, Santa Croce had the better of Roma 3-2, despite a very dubious refereeing, and then it beat Civitavecchia 3-1.
