Gioia played no less than 11 tie-breaks this season and has just won its seventh against Isernia, a direct opponent in the league table. This goes to show how tight this league is and all Gioia’s fighting spirit. However, despite this win, Gioia remains one point adrift from Isernia, currently fifth. All in all, difficult to criticise anyone in Cannestracci’s team: they digged well, setter De Giorni did a good job of feeding his teammates Nuzzo, Manassero and above all brazilian Diogo, who had an excellent performance.
