Olio Pignatelli Isernia is preparing to meet Santa Croce, we talked to Daniele Postiglioni about the good result obtained in Crema.
A straight forward affirmation that saw blocking as the star: “It is true, there were many balls touched and even when we did not touch them we had a good position both blocking and digging forcing them to strike from zone 2.
Cazzaniga rarely gets stopped by blocks, because he is really good at guessing on which side he should strike the ball, but we forced him to do it outside of the block, in the second set we digged his balls a lot and he ended up throwing the ball out”.
The middle blocker was the first one to say this team could have gone for more than safety: “You have to remind people of that, because training with the group and understanding a little bit about volleyball (he smiles) I could see there were good potentials both on a technical and physical level, we just need to become aware of our abilities and put it on court; that happened in the first part of the season and now we need to carry on playing well in the second leg”.
“Our strength is the bench which solved many situations. Some of the most beautiful matches we won thanks to their contribution. Without a strong bench our place in the standings would not be the same”.
The next match is coming up now: “We have not studied Santa Croce yet. They are not playeg badly despite the poorish results, affected by a lot of injuries. I do not know if Fabbiani will play on sunday but apart from that, it will be like all the other matches: a battle!”
