TIM JUNIOR LEAGUE 2008 FINAL EIGHT

MACERATA, TROPHY HOLDER, STARTS WELL

TREVISO, MODENA AND CUNEO OK

The TIM Junior League 2008 has started this morning in Sestola (MO) involving all the eight partecipating teams. The first round has started with the victory for 3-0 of Lube Banca Marche Macerata, team holding the Italian Under 20 title, over Sparkling Milano. A balanced match overall which put forwards Macerata’ s diagonal player Davide Papucci, author of 17 points. the key to the victory for Lube was their blocking which stopped Milan’s attack with a good continuity.

POOL I programme closed, on this first round, with the derby between Sisley Treviso and Venpa Cib Unigas Padova. Shivers for Sisley in the first set, forced to follow their cousins score. Venpa Cib Unigas, gone on court fearless, has built important breaks with Della Nave’s service. Only Maruotti & Co.’s technical value, surely superior, has allowed Sisley to win the set on setballs. As written in the script, the second and third set, with Antonov and Maruotti above all in attack.

The afternoon of the TIM Junior League’s first round has been dedicated to POOL J matches, opened by the very balanced tie break between Cimone Modena and Itas Diatec Trentino. The 5th set synthetises how the match went with the two formations alternating in leading the game. Cimone Modena though, has two players like Matteo Bertoli and Alessandro Bartoli in attack, precious in managing the hottest balls.

The match between Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo and M. Roma Volley has closed the programme of the round. Cuneo, inspired by Baranowicz excellent directorship, have put their own signiture on the match.
