The formula: The first eight teams in the Serie A2 standings at the end of the first leg take part in the TIM CUP A2 2008. They will meet in the quarterfinals which will include first and second leg. The second leg is played in the grounds of the team better qualified. In case of a victory each (with any score in terms of sets), an extra set will be played at tie break. The 4 winning teams will take part in the Final Four.

Quarterfinals

The formula: from this year the CEV Cup is replacing the Top Teams Cup. The formula forsees that once terminated the qualifying phase, the four teams qualified will meet the top three teams of the Champions League in a Challenge Round in order to access the Final Four.
