VIBO VALENTIA CLOSE TO PROMOTION
Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia is one step from A1 TIM. On sunday PalaValentia will host the match against SPTTT Lines Catania which could bring the yellow&Red back to the top league after only one year. In case of victory, in fact, their direct chaser Marmi Lanza Verona would not have any more hopes to steal the only ticket for direct promotion. The city is getting ready to party, announcing the sold out and from Corigliano, that has recently closed their championship, a representative of “I Mille dei Brillia” will come in support. Not a written match on paper thought considering the uncomfortable opponent they are meeting. Catania is an ambitious team, one of the best of this Serie A2 TIM championship, and they will want to make a result against Vibo, with their debutinn French national Xavier Kapfer.
Verona is looking from the window. They want to go for it trying to win in Cagliari, first of all, keeping their ears stuck to the radio waiting for new from Calabria.
In Santa Croce, Codyeco and Fiorese SpA Bassano will play for a place in the playoffs, this year also including the 9th in the standings; the loser will probably be left out.
Still in terms of play offs, one of the most interesting matches of the round will be Mare&Volley Forlì – Esse-Ti Carilo Loreto. Against Forli of ex’s Spescha, Rodrigues, Bendi, Mosca and Loglisci, Luca Moretti’s team will fight to confirm as the third in the standings. Paoletti will play as a diagonal player again, given Dunnes’ conditions not being fine still.
Easier challenges for Olio Pignatelli Isernia and Premier Hotels Crema playing at home against Divani&Divani Avellino and Top Team Mantova.
Certainly more appealing, the end of the regular season for Materdomini Volley.it Castellana and Monini Spoleto to find out who will still play in A2 TIM next season. Currently only 1 point apart in the standings, they will play the next matches at home. Castellana against Stilcasa Salento d’amare Taviano at Pala 167 without experienced setter De Giorgi out with an injury that will keep him away for at least 20 days. Jago will be playing though, absent in the past two matches.
For Spoleto, the opponent this time will be already demoted Framasil Cucine Pineto. The only danger for Polidori’s team is to take the victory for granted.
It is possible thought, that safety will be decided on the last round.
