Martina Franca’s coach Lattari looked back on his team’s poor performance against Treviso: “We had had an excellent week of training and I thought the team could do well against a top team like Treviso. I noticed that we were tense straight from the warm up, as if we had to win this game at all costs. I am not worried, it was an atypical game. My group is united, they work hard, they all do their best to improve their individual performances, but working for the good of the team. I’m obviously disappointed but to be defeated by Treviso is something that can happen. I think that, even if we had played well, we would have lost all the same. Me and my staff, we’ll work on the motivational side of the game and we’ll try to improve the mental approach when we prepare the game. I’m convinced we’ll have a positive reaction against Montichiari, that we’ll go on court with determination”.
