The passion of Bassano del Grappa for the volley is huge. 4200 people did partecipate at the big match between the best team of the Serie A1 TIM Championship, Itas Diatec Trentino, and the winner of the Italy Cup, Sisley Treviso. Some news for the starting six of Itas Diatec Trentino, that gives up the libero Andrea Bari, for a back injury. He will be replaced by Dore Della Lunga. The change will not change the skills of the team coached by Radostin Stoytchev that counts on its serve and on its block. Sisley did not start well in the first part of the first set (13-9 for Trento), but slowly, Treviso starts to play better especially with Alberto Cisolla (14-12). At the second time out Trento is ahead of two points. Grbic & Pujol show no fear, their game usese a lot the middleblockers. Both teams are playing really well, but at the end of the set Trento made few mistakes and Sisley reaches the team when the score is 19-19. Sisley score an important breack and pass Trento at the score of 22-21 thanks to a fantastic point played by Pujol. A serve mistake of Kaziyski gives the first set point to Treviso, but the same pression is now on for Treviso that with an error set the score to 24-24. Alessandro Fei conquers the second set point , but Nikolov scores the point. A fast attack of Hubner woth the third set point for Treviso but Trento scores with Kaziyski. It’s like a chess match. After 4 sets point for Treviso, Trento conquers the first one with an error in attack ofi Fei. now Trento has the chance to close the first set but once again Treviso is able to score again but at the end Tento closes the set with a point of Gregor Jeroncic that closes the set at 32-30.
It is a complete different Sisley that plays the second set. More rhytim in attack, more efficiency. Alberto Cisolla serves really well and Gustavo stops Kaziyski for two times in a row. So Sisley goes ahead in the score: 7-12. In attack Trento cannot count on its usual potential and Stoytchev tries to replace Nikolov with Mlyakov. Protagonists of the sets are for sure Alberto Cisolla and Alessandro Fei.
After winning the second set, it becomes impossive to do any kind of forecast. In the third set the two teams keeps fighting point to point. Both teams reach the score of 23-23. Birarelli conquers the first set point for Itas Diatec. Fei cancel it. Grbic – Kaziyski reaches the second set point for Trento. Treviso doe not give up with its capitian Papi that conquers the point with a very important block and at the first chance Treviso wins the set and goes ahead 2-1.
Also the fourth set is very tight and the score reaches 16-16, then Treviso scores five consecutive points and flies to 21-16. Sisley gets ready to go to Milan and shows once again to never miss the most important appointments of the season. The semifinal will be the last year final. Sisley against M. Roma Volley.
Alberto Cisolla (Sisley Treviso): “We knew that it would have been a very tough match, thery were very determined after reaching the first position in the standing. We had to stop their will and determination in blocks and serves. The match has been tight. One of those matches that you can win only with your heart and spirit. Now we will face another tough match against M. Roma Volley”.
Gustavo Endres (Sisley Treviso): “I don’t know how good the match has been. We made a lot of errors, but the match has been tight. We just play a little better than they did”.
Dore Della Lunga (Itas Diatec Trentino): “It would have been great to arrive in Milan, but we knew that Treviso is a very strong team. We never gave up and we fought until the last ball but it was not enogh”.
