Thanks to its victory over Roma (3-1), Bassano remained top of the A2 league after the 14th round. Santa Croce had momentarily taken first place this afternoon but Bassano did not falter. Mister Cretu’s team had a great and convincing performance, playing with determination and consistency. They only briefly faded in the third, allowing Piacentini’s team to take one set.
Roma’s defeat without getting a point means Gioia del Colle and Bologna are mathematically qualified for the A2 Cup quarter finals.
