In order to keep their leadership, Bassano and Bologna had to fight through a tie-break and resist against Città del Castello and Catania, who played face to face and went for it. Città del Castello disturbed Bassano’s game thanks to their dig that gave munitions for the attacks of Enzo Di Manno, MVP and top scorer of the game with 29 points.

Not as brilliant as usual and with a Marcel Gromadowski not in his best version, Bologna struggled and fell behind on the scoreboard twice against Catania. Still, trailed 2-1, Alberti’s team stayed focused and fought back to earn its 7^th victory. The two leaders kept this way their advantage on Santa Croce, who only won it at the tie-break despite building an early 2-0 lead against Latina in the big game of this 8^th round.

Loreto’s run of form continued with a third consecutive three-point win. This time, the victim was Roma, who once more proved unable to handle the difficult moments.

In the derby of the Puglia region, Gioia del Colle came back from Castellana Grotte with a straight set win by putting pressure on the opposite reception. Cavriago did well too taking three crucial points against Castelfidardo, just like Mantova at the expense of Crema.
