ITAS DIATEC TRENTINO The defeat at tie break suffered at PalaBanca in Match 2 has not affected the team’s morale and their supporters’ who never stopped cheering in Piacenza, despite being the minority.

To win the first title of their history, they will have to play a match similar to match 1, limting the imperfections showed in reception and attack last sunday evening. “Match 2 has showed everyone Piacenza’s real value – comments coach R. Stoychev – ; a team able to play at high levels once again one of the important matches of their season. Copra was good at taking advantage of our mistakes in the 2nd and 5th set, playing a good match overall especially at serving. We were absolutely ready for match 3 even after winning the first challenge for 3-0, having to face a team full of great champions. Now we start from scratch again and everything will be decided in one match; in this game we will have to improve our service and limit our direct mistakes as much as possible, especially in the decisive moments of the sets”
The Bulgarian Coach, together with Babeto from Brasil, are the only foreign ones to get to a title final at their first year in Italy, tomorrow night, he will be able to count on all his players.
Trentino Volley, after breaking their unbeatable record in Piacenza for these playoffs, will play their 31st playoffs match of the Club’s history; of the previous 13 matches played at PalaTrento, Itas Diatec Trentino won 7 (3 against Modena, 2 with Piacenza, 1 with Roma and Perugia). THE OPPONENTS After coming back and defeating Treviso and Cuneo in the quarter and semifinals, Piacenza tries to do it again in this final with Trento.
The match at PalaBanca has re opened the games and given new enthusiasm to a team who has already played 8 matches in the playoffs alone.
In match 2, Lorenzetti’s team has served better than they did in the first match played at PalaTrento and it is thanks to that, together with Zlatanov and Bravo on a good day in attack, they managed to make it difficult for Trento to play their game, both in the sideout phase and at tie break.
In Piacenza, the only man not in great shape is diagonal player Ventceslav Simeoniv who during match 2 has suffered some pain to his groin who puts him in doubt for tomorrow’s match.
If he should not make it, universal player Granvorka will take his place like he did in the past two matches when needed.
