Andrea Giani will fly from Milan tomorrow to the Usa. The Modena coach will enter into the ‘Volleyball Hall of Fame’, an extraordinary acknowledgement as this means he is recognised as one of the best volleyball players of all time.

Born in 1970, Andrea Giani possesses the record of caps with the Italian national team (474), with whom he won the World Championships 1990, 94, 98 and the World League 1991, 92, 94, 95, 97, 99 and 2000, the European Championships 1993, 95, 99 and 2003 and finally, he obtained a silver medla at the Olympic Games in Atlanta 1996. His trophy cabinet was obviously filled by many victories at club level too.
