The last Fiorese of 2007 surrenders with honour at tie break to the Reima Crema of the unstoppable Cazzaniga (31 points), replying to the diagonal player’s bombing with the best Shittu of the season: the belgian giant, devastating in attack, was blocked 7 times but attacked an industrial quantity of balls and finished with 59% positivity and 35 points.
The one point does not qualify the Club for the Italian Cup but puts them in 10th place so virtually out of the play offs, but it is stll a golden point because it allows them to be in a more comfortable position in the standings therefore face the second leg with more serenity.
Shame though because a few points would have taken the team just behind the top ones.
In any case, Fiorese confirmed itself to be a tough team that can paly against anybody.
Both teams served well but did not receive as well with low percentages for Bassano in the 1st set and Crema in the 4th one.
The match was very balanced but Reima could count on a champion like Cazzaniga who never makes mistakes at crucial times but he becomes lethal at those times, both in attack and service.
