After two intense and emotional hours, Tonno Callipo conquers their fifth consecutive victory which allows them to leep 2 points behind the leader.
A series of difficult matches has now ended, where the Yello&Red has been able to show some attitude, technical abilities and great team spirit. All the boys demonstrated to be good enough and to be able to go on court when asked to giving their important contribution when needed.
Yesterday’s victory was certainly well deserved, against a very motivated Castellana Grotte, that never gave up and will certainly emerge in the long run, having some experienced players in its group.
Michele Ferraro, general supervisor declared: “I liked yeasterday’s match very much, we played against a team made of experienced players, stronger than the teams we have met so far, that gave us a hard time.
I liked the team’s reaction, especially on 1-1 and at the end of the sets. Our boys deserved to win and they scored three points worth double that. We have closed a difficult cycle, doing what we needed to do to come back to the championship fully, after a start under our abilities.
Now a new cycle is starting and it will be important to get there with the highest amount of points available in the next direct matches, almost all away from home”.
