Spairani: “Very tough match”

A week away from the great victory against M odena, Sparkling Volley is facing their second consecutive away match in Corigliano, this time, against a Famigliulo coming from a 3-0 defeat aginst Cuneo and with a place in the standings that makes them even more eager to win.
“This is a dangerouns match because we are facing a team that wants to avoind demotion and is coming from a difficult time – says Daniele Ricci -. They will do their best and this is our second consecutive away match after a tiring tour de force, on the top of being the last match before the break.
These are signals that need to help us keep the concentration high: we can make points but only if we play at our best. We will need to be excellent, not just good”.
Corigliano is 3 points behind Sparkling but the coach is not thinking about the standings yet: “The standings need to be considered at the end of the first leg because the fist eight can play the Italian Cup, and at the end of the regular season”.
Both new in A1 this year they met in the last season when Sparkling lost so it will be an important match.
The captain is confident given the latest results: “We are working and training hard, I am optimistic because I can see improvements in the game. The fact that a lot of the players joined the team late due to their international engagements has influenced our preparation”.

HISTORY: Two championship matches last year, one victory each. Sparkling won the Italian Cup on neutral grounds.
