Between today and tomorrow the second round of the Serie A1 TIM regular season will be played.
Itas Diatec Trentino, after playing in Cuneo last sunday, will debut at home tomorrow night, thu 4th of Oct 2007 at 20.30.
ITAS DIATEC TRENTINO CALLING: It’s a fast pace for the championship so there’s no time to look back. After the 3-0 against Bre Banca Lanutti the team is back at work knowing they still have to grow on all fronts and should only think about the next opponent.
Palatrento’s last took place 5 months ago for the quarter finals of the play offs last year when Itas Diatec Trentino lost to Pre Banca Lanutti 2-3. So great expectations with Modena for everyone.
“I expect a very hard match against Modena from the beginning- says Coach Radostin Stoytchev – psycologically after losing our first match and because of a great opponent in better shape.
Most of my players will play at Palatrento for the first time too.
Technically, we should think about our game rather than theirs especially attacking, which we did not do very well with Cuneo”.
The whole team will be available tomorrow night.
Trentino volley only lost twice at home in the past seven Serie A1 seasons: Trento Perugia 1-3 (2004/2005) and Trento-Taranto 2-3 (2006/2007).

THE OPPONENTS: A Cimone Modena in good shape. Andrea Giani’s team already showed its potential; The team is even stronger thanks to the arrival of the two Brazilians Heller and Nascimento (ex Trento), to side Ricardo, Murilo and Sidao, middle blocker Tencati from Treviso and Spiker Lube Dennis, Mvp against his old team; also Heller got 73% in attack with two block and Tencati with five blocks, all stars in the 3-0 against the marchigiani.
“Modena is very hard to block – says Stoytchev – especially when they receive well. Ricardo is one of the most unpredictable setters in the world. With Dennis in such good shape, Modena is one of the best teams of this championship”.

Giani will have Ricardo, setter, Nascimento Diagonal player, Dennis and Murilo spikers, Tencati and Heller middle blockers. The young and promising Donadio will be their Libero, given Rinaldi’s injury.
