The match was balanced from the beginning. Prisma wins the first set 25-21 but loses the second one. The third set sees Totire’s men leading even though Padova, as usual does not give up, a beautiful ending with Castellano being the main man with 3 consecutive point and it is party time at Palfiom (25-22).
Fourth set taken by Padova who catches Taranto up and it is Tie break in the end (11-15) .
Michele Totire (Prisma Taranto): “Congratulations to them. Antonveneta played a great match, good blocks and a chilled game. We were to quick in trying to close the point sometimes. I should have replaced some of the players towards the end but that’s how it goes. 7 points in 3 matches are a good result anyway and we will keep working nicely like we did so far”.
Bruno Bagnoli (Antonveneta Padova): “We are a young team and we started really well. We got many points from our spikers today, while Perazzolo has been vital in some phases of the match with his serve.
We can do good things unlike they said at the beginning of the championship, we just want to stay on nicely and maybe see what happens with the 8th place”.
