CORIGLIANO – With the amazing frame offered by the crowd of the PalaBrillìa of Corigliano, with more than 4000 people presents, in front of the SKY Sport 2 cameras, Codyeco S. Croce resists until the very end of the 4th set with Famigliulo. Corigliano goes now ahead 1-0 in the series. Very tight match, but Giuliani’s team has been able to find the key for make the match turn in their favour at least for the first 2 sets. Crucial, for example, the 3 consecutive aces scored by Parodi that did change the result of the second set. Twentythree years old De Marchi has been able, with a truly powerful match, to not make anyone regrets the absence of Maric.
The only naive mitake for Corigliano, thinking that Codyeco was dead when Kovacevic played the match ball of the 24-23, in the 3rd set, spiking out. Santa Croce thanked for the present and win the set.
In the 4th set Fabbiani, like in the most part of the match, keeps up Santa Croce, in a very tight sets, winning two very hot match balls (24-23 e 25-24). On the third match point a block on Corsini fast (26-25), and the error of Torre & Janic did not close the set 3-1 (28-26).
Serie A2 TIM promotion finals, that will give the second spot for the Serie A1 Championship after Sparkling Milano, winner of the regular season, will be played at the best of 3 matches. The second match, that could be decisive for Famigliulo, will be played in Santa Croce on Monday 21 May at 8.30PM (live on SKY Sport 2).
