PERUGIA – Perugia is not able to beat Treviso and for RPA-LuigiBacchi.it is the end of the season after game two of the quarters, just like last year. Sisley wins 3-1 and goes to the semifinals.
It has been an exciting match. First set to Sisley that plays much better in blocking (6-1) and compensate the bad percentages of Fei (14%) and Cisolla (20%), soon replaced by the dutch player Horstink. But for Treviso Gustavo makes the difference. A lot of blocks for them and eventually the set is for Treviso with the score of 23-25.
In the second set, RPA-LuigiBacchi.it starts well and after the second time out the score is 16-11. Great set for Goran Vujevic (9 points, 64% in attack and 100% in defense), Perugia wins the second set and PalaEvangelisti goes crazy.
The third set starts really bad for Perugia (0-5). The match seems to tie up (11-13) but Treviso scores a 5-0 break that basically signs the victory of Sisley in the third set. The fourth set is a real fitght. When the score is 12-10 for Perugia, Ahmed got injured and replaced by Vermiglio. But it is Perugia that handle the match and goes ahead 18-15. The egiptian setter is back in the court, Treviso is able to tie the score up at 19-19. Now it is a battle of the nerves won, thanks to its experience, by Treviso (28-26).
Mvp of the match, Samuele Papi of Sisley Treviso.

Comments
Alessandro FEI (Sisley Treviso): “It has been a hard match, like game 1. There have been a lot of errors made by both teams, especially in the fourth set. Now we will play against Rome in the semifinals, that would love to get revenge after losing the Coppa Italia”.
Damiano PIPPI (RPA-LuigiBacchi.it Perugia): “There is a big regret for the defeat because also tonight (like in Treviso in Game one), we showed that we could win against them. Sisley played like the big team they are and they have been able to win the fourth set where we could achieve something more”.

Good start for Taranto but at the first time out Rome is ahead 6-8. Taranto reacts and at the second tme out is ahead 16-14. But Rome is playing too well and closes the first set 21-25.
Back in the court and Taranto starts well also in the second set. The team is ahead also after the second time out with the score of 16-14. This time Taranto does not let Rome to recover like in the first set and closes the second set in its favour with the score of 25-20.
In the third set Rome starts well and thanks to a Kooistra block, is ahead 8-5 after the first time out and 14-16 after the second one. A six point break sends Rome ahead 14-21. Reaction of Taranto that gets really close 19-21 but the set is already in the hands or Rome that closes it 20-25.
In the fourth set there seems to be no story. Rome keeps playing very well and flies to 14-19. But Taranto is not ready to give up.
