Seven points made out of nine available for Esse-ti Carilo Loreto in the last week before the break to give way to the TIM All Star Volley in Forli.
Seven points made thanks to three victories against Spoleto, Bassano and Isernia which put Loreto at the top of the standings with 16 points, also thanks to Catania and Crema’s defeats to Verona and Vibo Valentia.
“Isernia was a very difficult match but the boys were very good at going on court with the right attitude – coach Luca Moretti admits – after winning the first two sets, we had a few difficulties in the third one but in the end we proved to be at the top because we deserve it.
We are enjoying this leadership for now, aware that we have only lost one match out of 11, including friendly matches. I remind the boys of this at the beginning of every match. This has to let us know that we are working well and we are a good team able to win even when we change the team like we did in the last match. We know we can still improve a lot especially managing certain balls and if we will be able to work accurately we can think of staying at the top for a while yet”.
The Italian-Cuban middle blocker Hiosvany Salgado follows up on what his coach says: “Against Isernia we really wanted to do well. We thought it would have been a tough match but we were good at imposing our game and stop our opponents from getting into it.
Despite a little drop in the third set we were able to keep the right calm and concentration that allowed us to close the match in the best way, also thanks to our supporters”.
