A lot of enthusiasm in Monterotondo for the second round of the CEV Cup against Sampo Pielaveden. The choice to play the home matches outside the capital shows the club desire to enhance the movement and its values.
A press conference took place this morning outside a high school in Monterotondo with the head teacher, the town mere and other sports authorities and institutions.
“It is nice to spread volleyball in the province, especially such an important cometition such as the CEV Cup” – commented M. Roma Volley’s D.G.
Paolo Tofoli, captain, agrees: “We are happy to play in Monterotondo, we are hoping to be able to spread volleyball. The CEV Cup is the first European appointment for M. ROma Volley. We wish to give everyone a good game and a great show”.
Andrea Semenzato talked about the team’s condition: ” We are all in good shape, we managed good results straight away. It is a shame we have no time to train regularly due to the various championship and Cup matches”.
Roberto Serniotti, coach, kept his feet on the ground and said: “Saturday’s match is important: the CEV Cup does not allow for distractions. If we get even we will have to play an extra and winning set up to 15 points”.
