“We are working to be a team, not only a group of good players. More willingness to suffer and fight is needed”
Valdo is peaceful and clear minded talking after the home defeat with Isernia:
“We have not found our balance as a team yet, in some cases we are still a group of individuals not a group of people who sacrifice for the others. I can see tha latter in training and partly in the first matches but I did not see that last sunday when I saw a intied team with very little willingness to fight.
We completely gave up in the 4th set which is really bad and it should not happen again, too much individuality brings these results. The service-blocking-digging problems are a consequence of this.
Isernia did really well though. They are certainly ahead of us right now but it is only the third round so we have time to grow, we just need to find the right way.
From Vibo onwards we will be playing 4 matches in 2 weeks, after that tour de force we will be able to draw some conclusions. The 4 matches in a raw are not a problem though because we need to play”.
