Marmi Lanza Verona: Marlon will leave today towards Brazil, It is not a final goodbye, just a goodbye, consideringt hat BluVolley Verona will count on him also for next season.
The brazilian setter, arrived in Italy on the 13th of September 2006, talks about his experience with Marmi Lanza: “Here in Verona I lived a great time, I made a lot of friends and found real and special fans. I will miss this, I will miss the people. In 12 years of volleyball I never found so much passion and love for my sport like in this town. I am so happy about this, in the same way I am sad to leave, because a professional athlete can too get attached to the people and to the places”.
He played a lot and with all the spikers, Marlon said: “I found a good feeling in short time with all the spikers, from capitian Howard to Birarelli up to youngs Maruotti & Bartman. When I arrived, it wasn’t so easy because I did not know the level but I get used to it pretty soon, I wanted to achieve the salvation and I believed it was possible especially after beating Cuneo”.
For the future the brazilian players is looking at some offers arrive from the whole Europe while in Italy he could stay only in Verona.
Marlon says goodbye for now to Verona: “I want to say a big thank you to everyonne in particular to DS Cottarelli because he made my dream to play in Italy a reality. A dream came true that I hope I can still live, hopefully right here”.
