Fourteen Serie A2 TIM clubs have closed their first leg this afternoon giving the first eight in the standings the pass to the next TIM Cup A2. Tonight at 20.30, the round will end with the deferement between Premier Hotels Crema and Fiorese SpA Bassano (Live on Snai Sat). The match at PalaBertoni will be the last one of 2007.
Bassano will look for precious points to reach the 8th place in the standings and grab the last available place in the TIM Cup A2 by winning with 3 points; Crema are already on third place.
Currently the 8th place belongs to Materdomini Volleu.it Castellana Grotte who beat Divani&Divani Avellino this afternoon for 3-0. Mare&Volley Forli did the same against Raccorderie Metalliche Mantova but did not grant them the pass to the TIM Cup.
Castellana and Forli’s same amount of point put Castellana ahead with a greater amount of victories (7 against Forli’s 6).
Esse-ti Carilo Loreto wins at tie break in Santa Croce against Codyeco at the end of a battle to the last ball.
The first 2 positions stay the same with Marmi Lanza Verona first, winner in Spoleto against Monini Marconi (still without Sequiera) for 0-3 and Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia second, winner at home against Stilcasa Salento d’amare Taviano as expected.
Beautiful and round home victory by Olio Pignatelli Isernia for 3-0 against SPTTLines Catania; with these three points, Isernia takes over Hugo Conte’s team in the standings going on 4th place.
At the bottom, Framasil Cucine Pineto conquers three golden points in Sardinia beating Tiscali Cagliari for 1-3 and hooking on to Avellino in the standings on 11 points.
