SERIE A1 TIM: ON THE 26TH OF DECEMBER PLAYING IN MODENA, TREVISO, PIACENZA AND ROMA
After the 3 early matched of the 12th round played between the 19th and the 20th of december, the round will be completed on boxing day. It will be the very last appointments of 2007 for the Serie A1 TIM that will be back on the 16th of january with the last match of the first leg after the Olympics qualifying tournament in Izmir (TUR).
On wednesday there will be four matches played, in Treviso, Roma, Modena and Piacenza with an exceptional TV coverage.
“Volley Day” will be the star on SKY Sport with an afternoon entirely dedicated to volleyball; the live broadcasting of the Serie A1 TIM will cover Cimone Modena-Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo (16.30) and M. Roma Volley-Lube Banca Marche Macerata (20.30).
Two fascinating matches which will highlight four of the most equipped teams of the championship.
Modena is coming to PalaPanini from the strong victory obtained last saturday in Corigliano; Cuneo is still regretting four match balls wasted against Roma.
It will be Roma themselves to face Lube Banca Marche Macerata at 20.30 at PalaTiziano. While Serniotti’s men have already got a ticket for the next TIM Cup, De Giorgi’s ones will look for precious points towards it in this match; the only previous matches between the two teams are from last year’s championship when M. Roma Volley won both 3-0.
At 18.00 another two matches will be played in Treviso and Piacenza. At PalaVerde, one of the most awaited matches of the round will be on. Sisley, still without Fei, will host Itas Diatec Trentino that thanks to last sunday’s victory against Piacenza is now second in the standings.
History though, is all in favour of Cisolla and company who who in from of their own supporters have only been defeated by the trentini once before (28th of april 2006, 1-3 play offs semifinal).
Finally, at Piacenza’s PalaBanca, Copra Nordemeccanica will host Famigliulo Corigliano and will try and take advantage of the home game to get closer to the 8th place, the lowest position granting access to the TIM Cup.

The Serie A2 TIM’s show does not stop either. On wednesday at 18.00 all of the 8th matches of the 14th round will be played.
Away match for Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia, engaged in a challenge at the top. It will be SP TTLines Catania’s turn this time, only three points behind Vibo.
Marmi Lanza Verona, the other leader, will host Tiscali Cagliari at PalaOlimpia with ex coach Pietro Scarduzio; Premier Hotels Crema, third in the standings, will challenge Raccorderie Metalliche Mantova in the local derby, Mantova who grabbed a precious points in Vibo Valentia in the last round.
Esse-ti Carilo Loreto is looking for revenge after 4 consecutive defeats, playing against Mare&Volley Forli. Trying to carry on as before will be Olio Pignatelli Isernia playing in Avellino against Divani&Divani.
