Cuneo – Bre Banca Lannutti carries on winning Prisma Taranto 3-0. Mvp the middle blocker Renato Felizardo. In the first set Bre Banca Lannutti does not waste time with a 25-15 on Prisma without an important Leandro replaced by Idi. Prisma tries to do something in the second set taking advantage of the opponent’s mistakes and distractions going on 6-8 but Prandi put on Abbadi for Parodi then Wijsmans and Gonzalez lead the team to 8-8. Taranto hangs on with Rak’s attack and it is head to head and more changes for Cuneo with a great Mattia Rosso and a precise Marlon, Felizardo plays well in the middle too. The set ends 25-21 thanks to Patriarca’s wrong serve. The game is harder in the third set when Cuneo goes down and Prisma takes advantage of every opportunity to catch up again with Rak and Castellano (2 aces) taking Taranto on 15-16. PAtriarca brings them to 18-18 and Prandi puts on Gonzalez on 20-19 and the Cuban scores points 21 for Cuneo, it ends 25-21 with Wout Wijsmans’signature (12 points).

Silvano Prandi (Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo): “We won despite the worst performance of the 4 so far; Taranto made plenty of mistakes but our service did not work, Clocking and diffing was better”.

Felizardo (Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo): “I am happy about this vicoty, we did not play at our best but it is another positive result. I am personally satisfied also because my involvement with the team is becoming more and more important.”

MVP: Felizardo

Perugia – RPA LuigiBacchi.it Perugia’s journey is still very bitter despite its positive start. Dall’Olio’s men do not manage to react to Vladimir Nikolov’s last serving round losing the first set. Trento keeps playing allowing Grbic to give good balls to his players like Winiarski and Kaziyski who bend Perugia. Dall’Oliop put on Kovacevic, Proper and Tuerlinckx without changing the trend losing the set. Trento does not slow down in the third set either with good attacks and digging winning the set and the match easily.

Michal Winiarski (Itas Diatec Trentino): “We did not play well in the first match of the championship but we are ok and we carry on keeping our feet on the ground. Today we managed everything well”.

Roberto Braga (RPA LuigiBacchi.it Perugia): “Dall’Olio told us to stay calm, start from the next training session and forget about this match quickly. Our luck is that we have to think about Taranto already”.

MVP: Emanuele Birarelli (Itas Diatec Trentino)

Corigliano – A stubborn Famigliulo turns the score around and wins at tie break after losing 2-0. 2 very important points against one of their direct opponents. First set: Latina serves well and Corigliano seems confused and despite Giuliani replaces Corvetta with Dehne and Tomasello serving it’s 20-25 to Latina. Second set: Again, Latina goes strong and again Giuliani tries Aleksiev but it’s 18-25 to focused Latina. Third set: Giuliani starts with Dehne, setter and Aleksiev for Kovacevic. Famigliulo has a pride reaction and starts playing. Corigliano is more precise at reception this time and manages to win the set 25-20. Fourth set: it is one way set ending 25-14. A very intense tie break brings Famigliulo to victory 15-11.

Alberto Giuliani (Famigliulo Corigliano): “In the first 2 sets their service made the difference then we grew. It was a delicate match and we felt the pressure. We then managed to win helped by everyone, from the supporters to the staff”.

Flavio Gulinelli (Andreoli Latina): “My team is slowly growing and I am sure we will see the real face of my boys soon. With regards to the match, our reception got worse and they improved their service. I’d rather give Corigliano what they deserve than take away from my boys”.

MVP: Alexsiev Todor (Famigliulo Corigliano)

Padova – It is the 59th derby between the teams and Cisolla is not playing. First set: It is a long set ending 2-31 with an ace from Gustavo. Second set: Platenik has a problem with his knee and gets replaced by De Marchi then comes back on at the end of the set. But it’s Horstink that signs the final points giving his team the victory in a battled second set. De MArchi gets 4 point with an attitude. Third set: Difficult start with Treviso quickly going on 9-13 then Perazzolo brings Antonveneta Padova to 12-13. A lot of determination from both teams with Padova up to a good fight but it ends 32-34 thanks to Fei despite Gustavo and Papi’s wrong serves.

Renan Dal Zotto (Sisley Treviso): “It was a very difficult match. Some of our mechanisms still need to be worked on as we have noticed. But we played a very organised Antonvenenta. You can tell Bagnoli’s touch”.

Bruno Bagnoli (Antonveneta Padova): “We deserved to get to the 4th set but we need to learn to be more cynical. We have not taken advantage of our advantage during the match. Platenik? His knee worries me a bit. De Marchi replaced him with honour though”.

MVP: Robert Horstink (Sisley Treviso)
