Milano – At the end of the Serie A1 TIM 6th Round there is only one team at the top of the standings and it is M. Roma Volley who uses the deferment’s result between Sparkling Milano and Itas Diatec Trentino.
Trento gave the impression of being the usual war machine: pressure in attack and good blocking. Many mistakes were made in the first 2 sets by Ricci’s men. Sparkling’s big heart comes out in the third and forth sets. Milano struggles in the forth set and Itas runs away 4 times with Sparkling recovering (11-11, 17-17, 21-21 e 23-23). In the end it is Samica’s magic and Jeronic attack push the teams through to the forth set.

Milano gets exited and flies to 8-4 putting Kaziyski (MVP) under pressure in the back. The tie break seems close but this time the recovery is signed by Itas: Grbic’s service scores a 5-0 break and it goes to 17-17. It is nerves against motivation, an important tie break against the leadership . Motivation wins for Milano who wins 28-26 after the third set point.

Fifth set full of emotions but Trento demonstrates more cynism and wins the match.

MVP: Matey Kaziyski (Itas Diatec Trentino)

Andrea Bari (Itas Diatec Trentino): “We did not come here to win 3-0 because you do not always win 3-0. Such a result is ok when you play away, the match was taking a bad turn but we got our attitude out and won it”.

Marco Vicini (Sparkling Milano): “We take this golden point, I am very pleased about the final result especially given how the match went. They played hard and we reacted well. This point puts us in a good mood and higher in the standings. Now we are facing another tour de force but we will pull through and get results”.
