Taranto keep their ground up to 24-24 then Australian Daniel Howard scores the two points that give the home team the first set.
Prisma Taranto stays in the game helped by Leandro Vissotto’s growth who starts annoying the opponent’s attacks. The correlation blocking-digging does it for Totire’s men who win the second set.
Abdalla strikes again with his service in the third set and it is head to head but Vissotto’s mistake gives Montichiari the set and it is 2-1.
Prisma does not give up and gets back in giving it all for tie break.
In the decisive set Acqua Paradiso Gabeca Montichiari shows a better athletic condition and Mauro Gavotto Mvp gets his nails out winning the match.
Simone Tiberti (Acqua Paradiso Gabeca Montichiari): “We should have won with three points but we must be satisfied with a victory anyway. The relay between me and Abdalla is working. I have more feeling with the team and management skills, he is stronger at serving”.
Maurizio Castellano (Prisma Taranto): “A well played second and forth set, the fifth one was won by a few extra opportunities and more energy. The result moves the standings, now it is up to us to get the most points with Roma and Piacenza”.

Alberto Giuliani (Famigliulo Corigliano): “We have had a good level of attack with a less efficient service and point phase. Very few winning attacks and blocks, that is all. Kromm? he did well with his diggin and he was almost impossible to stop in attack. With regards to the setter, I alternated Corvetta and Dehne trying to use the great attacking attitude of the first and the service plus blocking of the other”.
Francesco Dall’Olio (RPA LuigiBacchi.it Perugia): “A proof of authority from my team. We had the good tactics and blocking on Corigliano’s fast balls. Some uncertainties on high balls. It was a match that needed to let us know what are shape was after Taranto and we did well. 3 points give us attitude and good moods, on the top of understanding our improvements”.
MVP: Robert Kromm (RPA LuigiBacchi.it Perugia)

Todays’ victory is very important though because it came at the end of a tough match that gave us many ideas on what to work on in the future, but also many uncertainties, firstlly that we can play against the strongest teams. Omrcen has not surprised me because I see how he works in training”.
Renan Dal Zotto (Sisley Treviso): “We made too many mistakes, especially with our service at the most important times. Honour to Lube who worked really well especially digging and blocking touching many balls, that made the difference in the end”.

A burning defeat, also because Andreoli Latina was not able to take advantage of the opponents’ conditions.
Against Piacenza, Latina is lost in the 1st set given away for 17-25, in the second set thanks to Zaytsev-Bendandi and many of their men’s growth they win it 25-19.
The exitement warms the PalaBianchini, never so cold. A Palasport full of whistles when Gulinelli decides to keep Zaytsev in. Latina messes up too much in the third set and Piacenza takes advantage. In the 4th set the home team has the chance to get hold of the match again but the too many service mistakes at the crucial time and Messana’s mistake in judging Piacenza’s flot service out, give Lorenzetti’s men a precious 3 points victory.
Flavio Gulinelli (Andreoli Latina): “I am very upset with our supporters, you do not come to see a match to whistle a 19 year ols boy. If these supporters have a season membership and if the Club agrees, I will give them their money back myself”.
Angelo Lorenzetti (Copra Piacenza): “Three points to keep our spirits up but we played on and off. We knew that coming to get some points in Latina would not have been easy. They are not in great shape but it was not an easy situation for us either”.
