LATINA – Latina against Padova, the forst home challenge at Palabianchini for Gulinelli’s men which ends in great favour of Perazzolo & Co.
First set begins head to head then Padova scores a few aces and again head to head it’s the final point that sees Latina getting a wrong attack with Gilson so it is 25-27 for Padova.
The second set is also quite even ans so is the third. Latina keeps running after Padova which works as a swiss clock.
Half way through the third set Andreoli loses it completely and Padova goes ahead (16-10). Too much to catch up for the opponent which wins 16-25 and goes home with 3 points.
Gilson (Andreoli Latina): “A real shame in the first 2 sets, I made mistakes too though. In the 3rd set we did not play as we know how to play”.
Perazzolo (Diagonal for Padova);” It is a good phase for us, we are playing well and we do it with enthusiasm”.
MVP : Lorenzo Perazzolo (Antonveneta Padova)

TARANTO – After Milano’s great debut, Prisma repeats itself at home: the match at the top with Corigliano ends with a beautiful 3-1 for Taranto.
Vulin guarantee inportant points, Castellano, Patriarca and especially Vissotto’s attacks give Prisma elegance and a concrete game: It cannot be anything but a net 3-1 which brings them at the top of the Serie A1 standings.
Formation same as in Milano: Nuti setter, Vissotto diagonal, Rak and Vulin middle blockers, Patriarca and Castellano spikers, Latelli libero.
Giuliani cannot count on Maric, with the flu.
Same line up as the one that beated Sisley Treviso for him too: Corvetta setter, Birbanti.
Michele Totire (Prisma Taranto): “We went on court tense and we suffered a series of serves in the first set from Biribanti and Kovacevic that brought Corigliano ahead. I even shouted during time out which is not me but given the results I must say it was worth it.
We grew during the match and became more constat at blocking: the final result was the consequence of the concentration we had in the following three sets. I did not expect 6 points after 2 rounds.
MVP: Leandro Vissotto Neves (Prisma Taranto)

ROMA – Roma needed its supporters’ enthusiasm to play like last year and Perugia took a step back after winning against Piacenza.
LuigiBacchi.it goes on court with the usual formation while Roma has no Marshall.
Both in the first and second set Roma starts well then Perugia catches up. Mistakes for Perugia in the fourth set while Roma lacs a bit in reception.
The fourth set is beautiful on both sides and ends 25-21.
Marco Molteni (spiker M. Roma Volley): «After the first 2 sets we express our game well but they grew and we could not repeat what we did. It is not easy to play a team that never gives up. At the end of the first set we saw the same situation we lived in Padova but we reacted fantastically».
Francesco Dall’Olio (coach RPA LuigiBacchi.it Perugia): «I do not understand the way we started the match. It was even too easy for Roma really. We made mistakes serving and attacking then we relaxed a bit when we were already losing. Stokr was stopped really well then his serving faded away».
