Famigliulo Corigliano: The team wil leave tomorrow morning for Isernia. After last Sunday loss against Tiscali Cagliari, it is time to foucs on the TIM Cup A2 Final Four .
PROGRAM
The team will play tomorrow a friendly match at 6.00PM against S.E.C. Isernia. On Friday morning there will be a trainning session in Isernia and then, the team will depart to Roseto degli Abruzzi. On Saturday the team will play the first match of the final phase of the TIM Cup against Sparkling Milano, the winning team will get the access to the TIM Cup Final Four A2 2007.
In the meantime, the team has started to work since last Tuesday at the Pala Corigliano in order to get ready for the very delicate and important match against Novotny and teammates. After the bad performance in Cagliari, Famigliulo must show a big reaction for the Saturday match against coach Ricci’s boys, most of all because the winner will play the TUIM CUP A2 final four.
AFTER CORIGLIANO-CAGLIARI
After the match lost in Cagliari, coach Giuliani has delcared: «After the match in Milan, it is the second time that we play without Maric, and it seems like we have still to do a lot of work to replace his absence. About the doubtful decision taken by the referees I have to say that there have been few weird decisions but like in every single match but I don’t think that the referees decision affect the result of the match. Yoko played as opposite in the 4th set replacing De Marchi and we used as spikers Parodi & Kovacevic. We tried to give more weight to our attack, considering that De Marchi had good percentages in the side out but he was having several problems in the point actions. But unfortunately my changes did not give the results I hoped. Cagliari played really well in defense and I actually think that the defense make the difference in the match. They defended much better than we did, foicusing on our fast attacks and on our zone 4 attacks. We have to work a lot on this area in order to fill Maric absence. If he will play in Roseto? I don’t know. He is struggling with phisical problems for a lot of time now, at this stage, it is not my decision anymore but a medical decision. But I know that if we find back Maric I can confirm that our goals will be very important. Otherwise we have to change them; and not because we don’t have a good team without Maric but because it is really hard to play without a proper opposite”.
