Itas Diatec Trentino accomplished the mission and wins at the PalaFontana of Cuneo in game 1. The team coached by Radamès Lattari beats at the tiebreak Bre Banca Lannutti, winner of the regular season and it is now ahead 1-0 in the quarter finals matches played at the best of three matches.
A very important result that will allow Meoni and teammates to play match 2, on Wednesday night, the first of the two matches where Trento can win and reach the semifinals.
The victory of Trentino Volley has arrived after a wonderful matc, fought point to point by both teams for at least four of the five sets played. Itas Diatec Trentino started the match not very well and lose the first set. But in the second and in the third set Trento is able to play at its very best and, especially thanks to a great day of Nascimento, and eventually win both sets and goes ahead 2-1.
Big reaction in the fourth set for Cuneo that closes the set and send both team to the tiebreak that has been won by Trento with the score of 22-20.
Nascimento closed the match with 55% in attack. Great match also for brazilian Heller in attack (100% and 12 spikes) and for Hübner (67%) that played very well especially in blocking. Positive match also for Gallotta (50% in attack and 71% in passing) and for Meoni.
In Cuneo very good match of capitain Wijsmans, but the belgian (78% in attack) has not been always supported by the teammates, that made too many mistakes (28 errors only in serving).
On Wednesday 18 April Itas Diatec Trentino will play at the PalaTrento (at 8.30PM) for match 2 of this quarter final.
