Marmi Lanza Verona: Verona is back at the last position of the Serie A1 standing after the second last round of the regular season and after losing 0-3 against Perugia at the PalaOlimpia.
Coach Lorenzetti declares: “We knew that it would have been a complicated match against Rpa, even if we could have played at our best. Yesterday we had passing problems since the beginning of the match and we have never been able to react or recover. I tried to change some players and the setter, we also had the chance to arrive at 21 for all but we did not seize the moment. I hoped we could play a better match, not for the points but especially for the performance of my boys. Perugia played aggressively since the beginning of the match. Verona played with its heart but probably we did miss a little bit of personality. The pressure cannot be an excuse. The match did not start very well and we have never been able to react with personality but we became nervous, probably because we are running out of time. This group has some limitations but the played a pretty good second part of the season but it has been not enogh to recover all the losses obtained in the first part of the season. Salvation has not been decided yet. Everything will be decided during the next match and we need to play the last match with all our attitude, spirit and personality”.
Last match of the season will be played on Wednesday at 8.30 in Taranto against Prisma.
