Petrecca Isernia: Corigliano did play a perfect match: aggressive serve, powerful attacks, very focused defense. Isernia has nevere really gotten into the match. Very bad in passing is one of the main reason why Isernia did lose 3-0 against Corigliano.
Maybe for some of the boys the already achieved salvation was enogh and did not find any motivation to play a good match, at least this is what it seemed from outside the court. But it is also true that the boys coached by Giuliani did not make mistakes supported by the local crowd.
At the end of the match capitain Scappaticcio has declared: “I would like to apoligise, on behalf of the whole team, to the Club for the awful match we have just played and we would like to thank the fans that faced a long trip to follow the team also last Saturday to support us. I hope that the bad match we played did not cancel the good things that team has been able to reach during the rest of the season despite all the problems and the injuries we faced during the whole year. I also hope that next Sunday there will be a sold out arena so that we can say goodbye and hugs all our great supporters”.
The loss hurts also because it has been a huge loss with Isernia never able to hope for the victory, not even for one set.
So the match must be quickly forgotten because as the settter of Isernia has declared “we can’t forget everything good done during this season”. Petrecca Isernia reached the salvation that was the goal of the Club at the beginning of this Serie A2 Championship.
So next season the team will be part of the Serie A2 Championship for the fourth consectuive times.
