The block by Marcus Popp on Steven Shittu won’t be easy to forget for all the people from Pineto. Everything stopped in town on Sunday evening to support the boys even being far away from them; every bar and pub was crowded by people sitting in front of Sky tv to follow the big match.
It started good, and for a moment everybody could smell victory already. But then something was stuck and at the end of a tense and nervous match it is the block of Popp on Shittu to break Pineto’s dream.
But the team can be proud of its performance, having defeated the ranking’s leader Taranto and having given much troubles to the host Taviano on its own court.
