MONTICHIARI –  The Monday Night event of this nine round ends with a 3-1 victory of Acqua Paradiso Gabeca, that now reaches 17 points and the fourth position of the standing.
Best player for Montichiari, opposite Mauro Gavotto.
Velasco starts with Marcus Popp in the starting six instead of Veres and the german played a great match.
After a very tight beginning of the match (10-9) Montichiari scores an important break of 3 points and, thanks to Popp serves keeps the advantage and closes the set 25-20.
Roma starts really well the second set and flies 0-4. But carried by Gavotto blocks Gabeco ties the score at 8-8. But Rome scores another big break and goes 12-20. Velasco tries to replace some players but the set goes to Roma for 17-25.
In the third set Acqua Paradiso is ahead since the beginning and on the second time out the score is 16-11. Set for Montichiari 25-15.
the fourth set is a point to point fight and at the end Montichiari is able to win it only with the score of 31-29 and with the Meszaros final ace, Montichiari got the victory and three important points.

Andrea SEMENZATO (Roma): “We never played at our best. There were something missing. Montichiari gave us problems in all the section of the game and we have nver been able to stop Gavotto”.
