Mercatone Uno Pineto: Fantastic Mercatone Uno! Pineto does not want to stop and wins 3-0 the first semifinal against Gioia.

Mercatone Uno starting six is: Ronaldo Royal as setter, Sborgia and Birarelli middleblockers, Shittu opposite and Mancini and Baldasseroni spikers. Gioia del Colle starts with Fabroni setter, Polidori and Baldaccini middleblockers, Divis opposite and Abbadi and Batez spikers.
Great start for Gioia del Colle that goes haead 13-16. Mercatone Uno does not give up and carried by the incredible crowd keeps fighting and reach 19-21 first and then does not let Gioia score another point and close the set 25-21.
One set ahead Pineto starts also the second set really well: 8-1 and 16-11 after the second time out. The score difference is to big for Gioia and also the second set goes to Piento for 25-17.
In the third set Pineto does not lose the concentration and after the second time out is ahead 16-14. The score keeps staying in favour of Pineto and after a tight finale Pineto wins 25-23 the third set and close the match in its favour.
Game 2 is scheduled next Friday in Gioia del Colle.
