Acqua Paradiso Gabeca Montichiari: It looks like a TV show but it is amazing how carreer of Marcus Popp has changed recently.
Because Marucs will be part of his national team in the next october world championship and because the Serie A2 will not stop for that event, his old team Salento d’Amare Taviano decided to not confirm the player for the next season. But on tuesday the 11th of July, last volley market day, Gabeca Montichiari found out that it was impossible for them to purchase Dejan Bojovic because of a new law that does not allow more than 3 players from countries outside Europe. That is why for Marcus Popp a huge door got open: the Serie A1 with Gabeca. “Everything happend so quickly” he declared “we found the agreement immidiately also because I didn’t want to let go such a big chance to play in Serie A1. It is like a drem came true!” Marcus is very happy even if he knows that it will not be easy to find space in the starting six. Meszaros, Veres and De La Fuente already played in Serie A1 for several seasons and they will not let go their spots easilly; but Marcus is not afraid: “I know that it will be tough to find space in the starting six but my goal does not change: I want to play as much as possible and I will find space by working very hard!”
