Also Basano (without Dalla Libera, one of its best player), has to surrender to the supremacy of team always able to react strongly after a defeat. Taranto won yesterday Bassano in incredibly easy way. Bassano did try to react by replacing Guidolin with Borsatto at first, then Visentin with Pianese and, at the end Dal Molin for Sabo; but at the end of the first set, for example, Taranto arrived even to 12 points ahead.
In the firsts set Prisma put pression in the serving pointing, the player with more problems (Greek Karipidis), especially with De Giorgi and Heikkinen flotting serves. In the second set the score has been tight up to 14-16 but then a terrific break by Taranto (14-23) nullify Bassano efforts to keep up. The set ends with 61% positive attacks thanks also to the great night of Schuil but also of spikers Castellano and Patriarca.
On the 3rd set good reaction of Bassano, thanks also to the crowd support, and, for the first time they’ve been able to be ahead in the score (18-16, 20-18) but Di Pinto boys have been able to keep the score tight and reacth the 23-23. A couple of the home team mistakes give the chance for Taranto to close the match.
With this victory the Prisma Taranto reaches 60 points and the security of playing the Play-off but the clear goal is still the direct promotion in A1.
