Sparkling Milano: The first victory of the season obtained at the tiebreak after a great recovery. Sparkling Milano was down for 2-0 and 10-14 in the third set against Agnelli Metalli Bergamo. But Milano shows two faces in the match. In trouble for the first two sets against an aggressive Agnelli Bergamo; unstoppable and great in the second part of the match. Awesome performances for Jakub Novotny, with 26 points and Riccardo Spairani with 13 points. Very important the help in the tiebreak of Peter Platenik that at the end of the match scored 18 points despite his not perfect conditions.
First set tight until 17-17, then two points in a row gives the first break to Bergamo able to close the set 21-25.
In the second set Milan starts well and goes ahead 8-3. Bergamo reacts and with a big break Bergamo goes ahead 17-13. Also the second is closed by Bergamo for 21-25.
In the third set it is still Bergamo that starts really well by going ahead 10-14 but in that moment Sparkling shows a great reaction carried by capitain Riccardo Spairani (that scores 16 points) and eventually goes ahead in the score. The set goes to Milan for 24-20.
Fourth set sees a great start for Milan ahead 6-1 first and 19-12 then. The set is in Milan’s hands that wins it 25-17.
