Big smiles on the Monza faithful as the home side defeated Molfetta in four sets on Friday night behind a monster performance from Fromm, who had 3 blocks, 24 points and the MVP award to go with it. Molfetta had won the first set but Falasca’s men fought back to win it and put behind them last week’s loss against Perugia.
Christian Fromm (Gi Group Monza): “A big win and a big boost for us tonight. We played as a team, we played quality volleyball and our serve stepped up in the tricky spells of the game. This was an important game for us, we were extremely up for it. Let’s move on with that same spirit. If we learn to maintain a high rhythm throughout games we can really get better ».
Daniele De Pandis (Exprivia Molfetta): “It’s always nice to come back in Monza, I have many friends here. But I am disappointed with this defeat, which has come in what was a good moment for us. We let them get back from five-points behind in the second set and that gave them confidence, while we lost ours. We have more belief in our abilities than at the start of the season, we should not put our heads down because of this loss, on the contrary we have to stay motivated and determined to bounce back ».
