Two years after their last attempt, the Reggio Emilia stars are ready to go at it again, but without any pressure, because whatever comes from now on will be a bonus. On its year back in the Serie A2, Reggio managed to clinch the last playoff spot available and will therefore challenge the winner of the regular season, Ortona. Game 1 of the quarter-final is scheduled on Sunday. In the regular season, Reggio had won it at the tie-break but lost it 3-1 in the second half of season despite a good game.
“We have proved we were not that far from their level – said middle blocker Davide Benaglia – We have to believe in our chances, we have proved in recent weeks we could give a game to anyone. It’s true we need a breakthrough on the road, but we will fight till the end to get it”.
