Seven days after the title of vice Italian champions won at the national Under 19 finals in San Giustino, another national podium arrives from Lanciano for the Pink Devils and Powervolley Milano.

The Under 17 Diavoli Powervolley closes the national event, held in Lanciano from 23 to 26 May, with third place overall in Italy, the national bronze medal, a podium that arrives for the fourth consecutive year at Diavoli Rosa in the Under 17 category which saw the Rosanero become Italian Champions for three consecutive years, a record which in Italian youth volleyball belongs only to Diavoli Rosa and Trentino volleyball.

The third step of the podium arrives on Sunday 26 May after the 3-0 victory by coach Traviglia’s boys against Lube, a solid and well-managed challenge by Garello and his teammates, a reflection of the important national journey made by the rosanero which started from the qualifiers , as vice champions of Lombardy, and who then went on to take first place in the group and win the quarterfinals, with the only false step committed only in the semi-final against the team that then won the category championship, Volley Treviso .

THE NATIONAL PATH

It all started from the qualifying round which the rosanero passed with 3-0 victories against Aosta and Perugia and a hard-fought 3-2 against Tonno Callipo.

Access to the main draw of the national finals is therefore certain, the Pink Devils and Powervolley Milano enter the 16 best in Italy.

Garello and his teammates start again from the first phase group with renewed spirit and awareness: out one by one Roma 7, Parella and Grosseto for a first place which leads the rosanero’s path to cross with the Apulian team of Matervolley in the quarter-finals. A match without history: 3-0 and it’s the semi-final.

The Pink Devils enter the 4 of Italy.

The pairing in the semi-final is one of the fiercest against the favorite Treviso, a match that the rosanero approach without awe, fighting and taking home the third set with a fourth which however saw the resolute Treviso close it at the end.
