Last joint training for Mint Vero Volley Monza which, within the friendly walls of the OpiquadArena, hosted Allianz Milano for a pre-season mini derby. The Monza team played a game of good intensity, to the detriment of the final result of 0-4 (22-25; 21-25; 19-25; 23-25). A useful test to test physical form, but above all chemistry and game dynamics, finally with complete ranks after the return of the last players from the national teams.
Good indications for coach Eccheli’s boys who, despite the few days of work with full ranks, showed interesting ideas in all the fundamentals of the game, despite the extensive rotations which saw a large turnover in all positions on the pitch except of libero Gaggini and setter Kreling, especially in the first two sets. A “Canadian”-driven True Volley with Maar, Szwarc and Loeppky among the top scorers for the hosts with 13,12 and 11 points scored respectively. For Milan the star performer was Kaziyski, with 20 balls put on the ground.
Now the Mint Vero Volley Monza program includes the last two days of training, before leaving for Civitanova Marche for the first day of the 2023-24 SuperLega Credem Banca season: opponent Cucine Lube.
THE STATEMENTS
Fernando Kreling (Mint Vero Volley Monza): “We have seen that we can develop interesting game patterns. We have a good team, but we still need a little bit of time together to get to know each other well and increase the chemistry between us. We are a tough team: today was a good test in view of the debut in the championship.”
