After the defeat against Prata di Pordenone 3-2, Conad must compete with Grottazzolina for the first match of the year at the PalaBigi. The meeting is scheduled for Sunday 22 October at 6:00 pm.
With just one point in the standings, Conad faces the second matchday in seventh place; the precedents with the Yuasa Battery do not give Reggio as favourites: in fact out of six matches Grottazzolina takes home five, while Volley Tricolore only one back in 2016.
For the 2023-2024 season, Grottazzolina reconfirms the central defender Cubito, the spiker Vecchi, the young playmaker Romiti born in 2007, the libero Romiti and the Danish opposite player Nielsen. Former Conad Manuele Marchiani has been confirmed in the control room, with Lusetti, born in 2002, coming from the A3 of Bologna.
To reinforce zone three, Canella comes down from the A1 of Padua, together with Mattei, another former Conad, who arrives from the A1 of Cisterna. The other foreigner is Mitkov, opposite Bulgarian. There are therefore three new places: Fedrizzi who arrives from Vibo Valentia, Bellomo, from Serie B and finally Cattaneo, who last season was in Castellana Grotte together with the new libero from Yuasa Battery Marchisio.
